Sue's blog: women like us
Friday 24th October 2008
I've had a few days off this week, meaning for the first time in ages I've been at home doing some much needed sorting out.
I've been decluttering, bagging things up and generally clearing up. Our Homes Ed, Emma always says that it's very therapeutic, but quite frankly it didn't do much for me this week.
That's why I was pleased to stop and whizz up to Birmingham to meet some Woman&Home readers for one of our special 'opinion formers' evenings where women like you and I, readers and users of womanandhome.com, tell us what's important in life and what isn't.
It's never as clear cut as that, because when women like us get together there's lots of laughing and debate which, in turn, gives me lots of food for thought. Whether we were talking about friends, a fantastic support network, family (we love them but they do drive us to distraction at times) or partners (definitely men are from Mars, women are from Venus conversations.) Then we went on to money, movies, make-up and more.
All of which makes for a fascinating evening. So much more therapeutic than clearing out cupboards if you ask me...
Have a good weekend
Sue
