Sue's blog: Gordon Ramsay and his mum

It's only just over a month until Christmas and I can't wait! My son James will be coming back from travelling just beforehand so I'll have all my family together again and, just like so many of you, that's just the way I want it! My children may now be grown up and have their own lives but Christmas is our special family time.
When Gordon Ramsay and his mother Helen Cosgrove spoke to us for our Christmas issue, it turns out, they feel exactly the same.
Gordon might seem like a bit of a tough nut on TV but, in fact, it turns out he's a complete softie – at least when it comes to his mum and family. He adores spending time with Helen and the two of them have the most fantastic relationship and couldn't be closer. The very tough times they had when Gordon was young may have left them with some painful memories, but they are both living life to the full now.
