Sue's blog: the stylish Cherie Lunghi and Twiggy
Friday 21st November 2008
It's impossible to escape talk of Strictly Come Dancing this week isn't it? It's all over the newspapers, on TV and everyone is talking about it here at work too!
Like so many of you, we were so disappointed when Cherie Lunghi was voted off last weekend – after all, you'd voted her your favourite of the women contestants in our w&h poll a couple of weeks ago.
But you, like us here at the office, are split down the middle when it comes to John Sergeant quitting the show (our current poll as to whether he was right to leave couldn't be a closer call!) Certainly it does seem a shame that he waited until the week after Cherie left to depart. She was such a fabulous example of w&h's brand new attitude, proving that women can achieve amazing things at any age. Read our exclusive interview with Cherie – there are lots of lovely backstage tidbits that you'll adore reading.
Talking of inspirational women, you should also check out our new gallery of pictures of the inimitable Twiggy – we took so many gorgeous pictures of her for our recent magazine feature that we couldn't squeeze into the issue, we thought you'd love to see them. And also read her tips for looking good – there are some fantastic ideas for what to wear; particularly useful at this time of year with the party season upon us.
If you're left wanting more, then you'll just have to put Twiggy's new book, A Guide to Looking and Feeling Fabulous Over Forty, on your Christmas list – and perhaps there are some other books in the Books For Fashionistas section of our Christmas book ideas that you could add to that too.
Have a great weekend,
Sue
